FINAL- MEETING SPACE








































The meeting space I designed using gold and silver textures, as well as marble in some of the elevators and dining table, my reason for this was to give the environment a wealthy texture, because after all it is intended for two very powerful and wealthy clients. The entrances to the meeting place from the elevators are also significant, with Madonna's elevator rising through the ground surface like performer, creating a higher sense of surprise which Madonna is well known for, and then I designed Obama's entrance in a way that he can all ways keep an eye on the meeting place when he's approaching, giving the sense that he is powerful man keeping a watchful eye over everything, and thus looking after his people. The dining table has been placed in the center, in a wide open space, and in stark contrast to the gold floor to emphasize the main focus of the meeting room, where the two powerful figures will go to congregate.

Madonna's elevator I designed to look lavishly and envoke a sense of mystery, much like the glamorous and unpredictable life style of Modanna. The elevator has a unique and elegant shape to compliment the succesfull and powerfull status she has, and it also presents her nicely as if though she was on platform or podium. This is again emphasized through the movement of the elevator rising up out her office space vertically in to the meeting space, much like a performer such as her would do at concerts. I feel this also symbolises an idea of rising power.

The elevator for Obama, as I explained earlier, I drew inspiration from two hands forming a diamond shape, symbolising the idea of hope and joy, an aspect which Obama is thouroughly looked towards bringing. I designed the elevator so it travels up the ramp from the meeting place, much like the journey of Obama's career of becoming US President. The elevator also sits underneath an awning once it reaches the office space, where i tried to symbolise the idea of Obama capturing that new hope that he brings and excuting it with his powerful status.

SKETCH UP MODEL - DINING TABLE





















I designed the dining table so that is obvious that it is intended for the meeting of two people, in this case Madonna and Barrack Obama. I distinguished the two ends of the table from one with a softer smaller curvy side for Madonna, whom is more powerful in the way she relates to entertaining people and showing adventure, as appose to the the larger pointy curve side which is for Obama, the man in a more powerful position, who is incharged of running a country, creating authority.

Madonna is one of the most successful people in the world, and thus has gained much publicity over her career, which has led to her powerful position in society, where she considered to be very lavish and often outrages, never failing to impress the public with new surprises. I therefor drew inspiration to design an elevator that is a unique and irregular shape, creating an element of surprise and mystery.

My design for Barrack Obama's elevator was inspired by a diamond shaped hand often used to symbolise hope and enjoyment, supporting the representation of Obama becoming the new President, considered as a portrait of new hope and a better future outcome with his new powerful position.

Power is an experience of desperation, luxury, fear, influence and designing ambitious plans. Barack Obama, Madonna and Miuccia Prada have all grown to rise to this pioneering fame. They have firm control over their opponents, as well as infleunce people and children. Obama has the power to undertake the big challenges of the poorest countries in the world, such as in Africa. His job is to overcome the struggle of the heavy economic downturn and design more industries that will pay off in billions of dollars.
Muiccia Prada is an influential fashion president who has been transformative and a trademark in the fashion world. Madonna is a revelling pop star who has created much controversy, unprecedented, season after season, and is independent, and changed children’s lives. Intelligent, in an internal struggle, these celebrity friends cannot travel unrecognised, but most attention is handled right, with a certain serenity and rarefied original energy.
